The fiscal year of Pheasant Glen Golf Club runs from January 1 to December 31. Annual Dues for members are mailed out in mid November and are due January 1. Dues may be paid in full at that time, or paid monthly subject to a service charge. The non-payment of Annual Dues is cause for the cancellation of a membership.
The stated goal of the Ownership and Management is to provide a high quality golf experience for members and non-members alike, and to do so at a reasonable cost that is in keeping with the conditions of the current local market. To bring value to owning a membership in Pheasant Glen Golf Club is paramount in the business plan. That can only happen when there is open communication between Management and Members, and appreciation on the part of Management for the needs of all golfers. One of the resources structured for that purpose is the Members’ Committee, which is made up of members elected by the membership at large. The Members’ Committee meets monthly to plan and review events, to discuss issues of interest to the membership, and to receive information from, and to offer comment to, the golf course management. The members of that committee are always available to receive communication from members.
Membership permits one to amortize the cost of golf over the entire year, thereby reducing the costs per game over green fee play. Members are able to reserve tee times fourteen days in advance, thereby ensuring the best access to their preferred tee times. Member Sections (Women on Tuesday mornings and Men on Wednesday mornings) are able to block tee times as a group.
Members of Pheasant Glen Golf Club enjoy the fellowship of golfing with peers, in an environment where they are both known and comfortable. The Staff at Pheasant Glen take pride in knowing members by name, delivering a high level of service, and ensuring that all golfers enjoy a memorable golfing experience.
Members receive a Member’s handicap card and access to the handicap computer. The system used at Pheasant Glen is part of the BCGA Handicap network permitting the entering of scores played at member courses other than Pheasant Glen that are on the network.
There is a series of Member events scheduled throughout the year: Member-Guest days, scrambles, Club Championships, and various other events that have both competitive and social aspects involved. Members have the opportunity to represent the Club in special events such as the BC PGA Pro Lady, Pro Junior and other Pro Ams.
Members enjoy complimentary use of practice balls on the Practice Area, the availability of annual golf car rentals, as well as periodic offers that are only available to Members. The use of a pull cart is included for any Member wishing to use one.
Members receive preferential pricing on regular priced merchandise in the Golf Shop and Menu items in the Restaurant. Members have the option of charging services and products to their account at the Club. They must provide a credit card number on file in order to establish charging privileges and to settle the account monthly.
