Co-Host to the 2018 Canadian Men’s AmateurPheasant Glen
In November, 2016 we received a request from Golf Canada to be co-host of the 114th Canadian Amateur Golf Championship. We are very pleased to announce that we accepted and are excited to co-host the Championship. Duncan Meadows of Duncan, B.C. will be the host club for the 256 competitors that will have qualified through their respective provincial championships, and will have the final two days of competition once the field is cut to low 70 and ties.
Many of the top amateurs in Canada, the USA, and Australia and New Zealand have played in this great event. Past Winners include: golf icon Moe Norman (1955,1956), BC’s Doug Roxborough (1972,1974,1982,1988), Jim Nelford (1975,1976) Richard Sokol (1981,1988) Brent Franklin (1985,86,87) Nick Taylor, and the last Canadian to win Mackenzie Hughes in 2012. Champions have gone on to win 10 PGA tour events, 4 US Amateurs and 2 British Amateur Championships.
We are proud to have hosted the biggest Amateur Championship in British Columbia this past July and Pheasant Glen has proven itself once again as a great tournament course and great Championship venue.
Players rave of our lush fairways and smooth greens and enjoyed having to use every club in the bag to get the most out of their round.
