[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Dear Candidate,
As the Men’s Club Captain at Pheasant Glen, I write to ask you your position regarding the Pheasant Glen Development Permit passed by the Qualicum Beach council September 17, 2018.
Obviously the development is important to all the members of Pheasant Glen and the entire community of Qualicum Beach. Pheasant Glen has been awarded the 2020 Canadian Senior Men’s Golf Championship. The new Clubhouse and accommodations will provide the 200 players and others with a great venue to play and stay. Qualicum Beach has been waiting for a first class resort for many years. We have a first class championship course and this will make it a first class resort. We urge you to consider getting behind this great project and helping to make sure it can be completed by 2020.
Please answer the following question in 25 words or less and return them to me by email no later than 12 noon Friday October 12.
If elected will you support the building of the phase one of the Pheasant Glen Resort as set out in Development Permit passed by Council September 17, 2018?
Your answers will be shared with our members and posted on social media.
Sincerely,
Bob Seeley

Hi Bob,
Absolutely I will and have supported the development of Pheasant Glen as a tremendous addition to Resort Tourism in our community. The additional development for the new Club House can only enhance the experience for both Tourism and the community alike.
Thanks,
Dave

As this has been part of the OCP for over a decade, proceeding with this development is something I would support barring failed studies.

Yes, I’m excited for these resort plans to go ahead for Pheasant Glen. I was at the council meetings when it was presented and the project is well planned and offers economic benefits to our community as well.

Hello Bob. Neil Horner here.
Yes, I would support it, as long as the enviro studies didn’t show something alarming. If they did, I would expect the problem to be resolved prior to the issue coming to another vote. If that was the case then again, I would support it.

Definitely! The conditions on the approval of course must be met, but I am in full support of the tourist accomodation and current plan for this resort destination.

Dear Mr. Seeley,
Please find below my response to your question.
It’s an exciting opportunity for tourist accommodation! Council’s role
is to ensure our water and environment are not compromised and the
sewer system is satisfactory.
Sincerely,
Anne

Hi Bob,
I did approve the project in 2005. I would support it today. I did request along with the APC a new master plan and environment plan be brought forward before we proceed.
Take care,
