Enhance competitive skills and prepare for tournaments

The Train for Success Program represents the pinnacle in competitive golf coaching. As well as core programming, athletes focus on enhancing competitive skills and tournament preparation in a year-round high performance setting. 

Train for Success is the final level of Pheasant Glen’s Elite Junior Golf Academy, designed for High Performance competitors playing at a Provincial and National level or higher. Suitable Handicap range is +3 to 9.

The coaching plan is based around multiple competitive peaks, helping athletes excel when it matters most. The plan features full swing and short game assessment, skill improvement program, golf specific physical training program, course management, tournament planning, and college scholarship preparation.

Participants can expect 10 hours of coaching each week, Monday to Thursday with an optional 9 hole play day after school on Fridays.

September to March
Skill Development: Mechanical and Technical Development: Understand your swing
Short Game System: chipping, pitching, sand play, putting, trouble shots
Course Management

November to February
Fitness Training: Individualized strength and training program with certified TPI instructors. Regular physical assessments measuring strength and rang of motion

March to August
Competitive Planning: Building a tournament schedule based on individual goals
Preparing for Competition; course prep, warm up routine, packing appropriate snacks

Scholarship Achievements

Former and current students who have achieved scholarships have attended the following schools: Utah Valley, New Orleans, Simon Fraser, Sierra Nevada, Alcorn State (Mississippi), Ottawa University Arizona, and Vancouver Island University.

Professional Players have, and are competing on, the Gecko Tour (Spain), Euro Pro Tour (England and Europe), PGA Tour Canada, Vikes Performance Tour, and Vancouver Golf Tour.
