A Multi Use Lifestyle Resort Community
A Community Vision for Qualicum Beach
Bare Land Strata
Resort Development Overview
Pheasant Glen Golf Resort’s Re-Zoning Application for a Multi Use Lifestyle Resort Community on 1025 Qualicum Road was approved by the Town of Qualicum Beach on October 27, 2021. It is expected to generate more than a $200 million in economic activity for the local area.
This development includes 185 units of mixed cottage, cabin, and stacked condos, and 40 hotel units. Amenities include a new clubhouse, restaurant/brewery pub, pool, meeting rooms, confectionery, spa, outdoor recreation facilities, biking, walking, and hiking trails connected to the Town of Qualicum Beach trail system. The development will create an outstanding residential community that protects the natural environment, its ecosystems and biodiversity, and promotes water and energy conservation.
Pheasant Glen wishes to thank its members, friends, and community supporters who wrote and phoned Town Council and attended the meetings. A special thank you to the following Town Council members who supported the resort by passing the bylaw: Councillor Scott Harrison; Councillor Teunis Westbroek; and Mayor Brian Wiese.
Thank you to everyone who has been supportive of our community vision for Qualicum Beach.
A Community Vision
Local residents and tourists can look forward to a new Brew Pub to enjoy a great meal with friends in a pristine setting, complete with rolling fairways, golfers, and mountain views! You will be able to invite friends and family from out of town to book a room and stay at the new Hotel/Lodge, or choose one of the Cottages or Cabins to rent.
For our Junior Golf Academy, these new accommodations will be a welcome choice for participants, both local and out of town. Golf championships and tournament participants alike will appreciate having quality accommodation options nearby.
The new Multi Use Lifestyle Resort Community will also have a beautiful venue for hosting weddings and other special celebrations. This is an integral part of our plans to ensure that future generations — including the four generations of the Dutton family who live, work, and attend school in Qualicum Beach — will have a wonderful place to gather and make memories.
This vision started with Bill Dutton’s purchase of the golf course in 1996, and we are excited to build on this legacy!

Messages of Support

“There are many reasons why the Pheasant Glen resort development is good for me, my family and my town. Our town is in desperate need of tourist accommodation, off-season accommodation, “destinations” such as the championship golf course that is Pheasant Glen, large rental unit pool. It also ties into the biking, walking and hiking trails very nicely. The project will mean jobs (both construction and permanent), ongoing tax revenues and no cost to the town for the site services.”
— John Wood
